NACHA’s Council for Electronic Billing and Payment
DALLAS, Texas – October 11, 2004 – BillMatrix
Corporation, a provider of outsourced telephone and Internet-based
payment services, today announced the selection of Jerry Portocalis
for the Marketing/Education chair of the Steering Committee
for NACHA’s Council for Electronic Billing and Payment
(CEBP). Portocalis will be supporting the organization by
developing compelling educational meeting sessions that cover
the latest industry developments, practitioner case studies,
analyst presentations, and technology applications. He will
also ensure that members, other influential organizations,
and the financial industry as a whole are aware of and support
the mission of the council.
Portocalis has been an active participant with both the national
NACHA organization and the CEBP. He presented a client case
study at NACHA’s Payments 2004 conference in March and
led a session of the business-to-consumer committee at CEBP’s
spring meeting, providing information on electronic payments
from the perspective of both the consumer and the biller.
He has been a strong advocate of the organization, promoting
the benefits of attendance and membership among biller companies
across the utility, telecommunications, insurance, and consumer
finance industries.
Portocalis has served as Senior Vice President of Sales and
Marketing for BillMatrix since March 1999. He is currently
responsible for all client-facing operations including sales,
marketing, and client relations at this innovator in the electronic
payments market. Prior to his tenure at BillMatrix, Portocalis
gathered over 15 years experience in the electronic financial
services industry, serving in senior marketing and sales management
positions at Bank of America, Automatic Data Processing (ADP),
and Ceridian. He holds an MBA with an emphasis in International
Business from California State University.
The Council for Electronic Billing and Payment (CEBP) promotes
electronic consumer and business-to-business billing and payment
programs and services, providing an open forum for education,
resource development, research and the exchange of information
about the electronic billing and payment industry.
