BillMatrix Executive
Speaks on the Future of Debit
The
Payment Experts Continue Educational Mission
DALLAS, Texas – October 4, 2004 – BillMatrix
Corporation, a provider of outsourced telephone and Internet-based
payment services, will participate tomorrow in a panel discussion
at the ATM & Debit Forum at the Baltimore Marriot Waterfront
in Baltimore, Maryland. John Witt, the Chief Operating Officer
of the company, will be one of the experts offering ideas
on enhancing the utility of debit and a perspective on the
industry during a featured session entitled, “The Future
of Debit: Emerging Payments Panel Discussion.” The panel
will review the rapidly expanding use of debit cards, as well
as their current and future role in the payments business.
BillMatrix has been a proponent of the use of debit cards
since the company’s inception, pioneering their use
in 1995 for on-demand bill payment in the utility industry.
In cooperation with the major electronic funds transfer networks,
the company has continued innovating with the expansion of
PIN-less, online debit use for insurance and telecommunications
bills and most recently, for mortgage payments. Mr. Witt has
been with the company since 2000 and is responsible for all
day-to-day functions including the payment system operation,
technology development, customer service and sales & marketing.
He has a broad, long-term background in financial and operational
issues and will offer an insightful point-of-view to the session’s
attendees.
Thomson Media has organized the ATM & Debit Forum to be
an educational opportunity for individuals looking to develop
and execute a payments strategy to hear from industry innovators
on the radical transformation and convergence of the ATM and
debit markets.
