DALLAS and FORT WORTH, Texas – April 21, 2004 –
Venture Encoding Service, Ltd., a provider of paper and electronic
document services, today announced that it has formed an alliance
with BillMatrix Corporation, a provider of outsourced telephone-
and Internet-based payment services, to offer best-in-class
e-payment processing. Mortgage servicers who use Venture’s
E-Statement product can include an embedded E-Payment link
that takes consumers directly to a BillMatrix-hosted website
to complete transactions. Once authenticated, a consumer can
make either a recurring payment or a one-time payment on his
or her timetable, offering the ultimate combination of convenience
and control.
“The combination of Venture’s pioneering bill
presentment capabilities and BillMatrix’s decade of
electronic payment experience will help improve efficiencies
for mortgage servicers,” said Venture Encoding President

ATM/debit payment method.”
By offering borrowers the electronic ATM/debit card payment
method, a mortgage servicer can eliminate virtually all returned
items. With an ATM/debit transaction, the BillMatrix system
uses real-time validation to determine if funds are available
in the borrower’s account. If so, the system then assigns
those funds to the mortgage servicer. When combined with an
ACH/electronic check option, these expanded payment options
offer a true competitive advantage to the mortgage servicer.
BillMatrix took the first ATM/debit payments on behalf of
a mortgage client in late 2003 and announced the initial success
of the program last month.
