BillMatrix Takes Active Role
at NACHA Payments 2004
The Payment Experts™ Presenting
Major Client Case Study Covering 20 Years of Success
DALLAS, Texas and SEATTLE, Washington – March 19, 2004
– BillMatrix Corporation, a provider of outsourced telephone
and Internet-based payment services, announced today their
strategic activity at PAYMENTS 2004, NACHA's annual conference
on electronic payments and e-business. This premier payments
industry conference is being held in Seattle, Washington this
year from March 21-24 at the Washington State Convention and
Trade Center.
Jerry Portocalis, BillMatrix’ senior vice president
of sales and marketing, will be showcasing a major utility
client’s successful experience with electronic payments
in a joint presentation on March 23rd at 1:30 PM. The super-regional,
Fortune 500 energy company is a leader in customer satisfaction,
winning national awards for four consecutive years in part
due to offering increasingly appealing, automated, electronic
payment options to their broad customer base. The session
will describe implementation and growth of the program over
a 20-year period as well as the metrics used to spur adoption
and measure long-term success.
BillMatrix is also participating in two other presentations
at the event, moderating sessions with industry experts from
Gartner, Inc. and TowerGroup. These sessions support the conference’s
purpose – providing the know-how for organizations to
manage the nation's movement to electronic payments. The TowerGroup
session will focus on lessons learned by a broad range of
billers on the business case for an e-payments program, adoption
rates, and best practices. The Gartner session will feature
the analyst’s take on how identity theft and fraud are
impacting businesses using e-payments and the critical success
factors for effective solutions to combat the problem.
Activity at this event demonstrates BillMatrix’ focus
on supporting industry education at conferences and events
based on the company’s decade of experience. At NACHA’s
Council for Electronic Billing and Payments in Annapolis,
Maryland earlier this month, BillMatrix was invited to lead
a discussion with attendees on consumer and business drivers
for utilizing electronic payments as well as business readiness
for such programs. The company is a member of the council
and is also active in NACHA’s Internet Council.
